• ULT 800 GPD

The ULT 800 GPD Reverse Osmosis System is the smallest industrial reverse osmosis system. This is our most durable reverse osmosis system with unmatched value in quality, convenience, and price. NSF-grade high-quality parts are used to build this tough system. All compact commercial RO systems are constructed of premium components, high-quality water filters, and membranes to guarantee high rejection rates and output speed.

Clean, safe water is essential for daily life in Dubai. To ensure an abundant supply, the emirate has established an extensive multi-stage process to purify seawater on a massive scale. However, smaller decentralized systems are also needed to serve individual communities and buildings.

The UltRATEC ULT 800 GPD system provides an ideal solution at this mid-size level, producing up to 800 gallons per day of purified water. Utilizing reverse osmosis technology, it complements Dubai's large central plants in delivering consistently high-quality H2O.

    Dubai's Centralized Water Purification Process

Raw seawater is pumped to one of several major treatment complexes along the coast. Here, it undergoes pre-treatment including desalination through multi-effect distillation or thermal desalination.

Next, the distilled water enters large blending tanks where minerals are carefully reintroduced to achieve the proper composition. It then proceeds to underground reservoirs for distribution.

Along the way, the water stream passes through additional polishing processes like ultrafiltration and chlorination to further eliminate impurities before being piped hundreds of miles via an insulated transmission and distribution network.

    Role of Decentralized Systems

While centralized plants supply the bulk of Dubai's water, smaller building-level systems are still advantageous in certain applications. For instance, communities in more remote areas, commercial kitchens, and labs with stringent water quality needs.

Enter the UltRATEC ULT 800 - a wall-mounted reverse osmosis purification unit providing on-site microfiltration and ultra-low TDS water directly to its facility. This allows independent treatment without additional piping or storage costs.

How the UltRATEC ULT 800 Works

Raw feed water is pressurized and passed through 5-micron sediment and carbon block filters. It then enters the heart of the system - high-rejection spiral-wound RO membrane modules.

Here, molecular-sized contaminants like salts, heavy metals, viruses, and chemicals are retained while purified permeate water is produced at a rate of 800 GPD. Post-filtration polishes the water before use or storage.

Automated PLC controls ensure consistent, reliable operations. Minimal maintenance requirements also make the UltRATEC ULT 800 well-suited for facilities with limited technical staff.

By leveraging advanced RO technology at a smaller scale, the ULT 800 plays an important supporting role in helping Dubai achieve its goal of a sustainable, high-quality water supply protecting public health for generations to come.
